What Is a Standardized Patient?
A Standardized Patient (SP) is an actor who portrays a patient in a clinical setting. By following detailed case scripts, emotional tones and response patterns to simulate real-world medical encounters, SPs offer standardized, realistic portrayals that reflect the diversity of patients. This standardization ensures that every candidate is evaluated under equal conditions, reducing variability and bias and enhancing fairness across all exam sessions.
Individuals selected to join our SP program receive targeted training to best complement our assessments and events. Their preparation focuses on emotional authenticity and uniformity, enabling reliable evaluations throughout each encounter.

Both organizations conduct high-stakes clinical assessments for medical professionals seeking certification in their fields. These exams are pivotal moments in a candidate’s career that test their clinical and communication skills.
